Job summary

Allison Transmission in Lewisburg, TN seeks a Fork Lift Operator to support aluminum die casting warehousing. You will handle materials, operate equipment, package and ship orders, and ensure clean, safe operations on shift.

Requirements include warehouse experience, ability to stand, read/write/speak English, and ability to pass power lift equipment testing. Overtime and 5S discipline are expected components of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse environment is required.
• Forklift experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks per location policies; handle materials within transactions.
• Operate heavy machinery in confined areas.
• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Perform material moves with physical/logical transactions as required.
• Attend daily shift meetings and support team improvements.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
• Sign inbound and outbound shipping documents.
• Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
• Ensure facility is secure at shift end; resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties.
• Check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Operate forklift or other warehouse machinery; perform housekeeping.
• Perform basic operator maintenance (grease equipment, clean filters, etc.).
• Sort materials by type and grade.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance.
• 5S practices.
• Overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.

Job Description

Primary Purpose of Role: We are an aluminum die casting manufacturer with expertise in large, complex die casting, machining and assembly, as well as design and analysis. Our scope includes full print to part engineering and strict process and quality control for delivering high quality, complex aluminum castings for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform the assigned tasks as described in the location's policies and procedures standards to include handling of materials within associated logical transactions.
• operate heavy machinery in confined areas.
• Package, kit and/or assemble orders and materials.
• Perform material moves with associated physical/logical transactions as required.
• Participate in daily shift meetings and other team activities for the purpose of self-improvement and improving warehouse operations and related business functions.
• Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers.
• Sign inbound and outbound shipping documents.
• Ensure all scanning is completed correctly.
• Ensure facility is secure at end of shift; investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping.
• Perform picking and packing duties.
• Check for evidence of product or container damage.
• Performs housekeeping duties for assigned area operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
• Perform basic operator maintenance (grease equipment, clean filters, change small fittings).
• Sort materials by type and grade.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance.
• 5S.
• Overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lead.

• Must have experience working in a warehouse environment
