Position Overview

Our forklift operators work in our production or shipping and receiving areas, assisting with bringing materials to compounders, loading trucks, and safely organizing the facility. The role requires a safety-focused mindset with attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload trucks delivering product materials purchased by Berje Inc.
• Label materials immediately after unloading
• Verify the weights of received materials
• Enter receipt data into the computer system
• Sample delivered materials and deliver samples to the QC Lab
• Move materials to appropriate warehouse locations
• Record stock locations using scanner equipment
• Correct errors in the IT system as needed
• Collaborate with the Purchasing Department on vendor issues
• Pick finished goods from inventory and stage on loading docks
• Apply packing lists to shipments
• Inspect carrier trucks for cleanliness, integrity, and driver credentials
• Load shipments onto trucks and record in the system
• Ensure drivers sign off shipment documents
• Clear finished goods from production and store in inventory
• Consolidate inventory in shipping areas
• Brace products on pallets for export shipments
• Follow safety procedures to maintain an accident-free workplace
• Comply with all SQF procedures and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of forklift experience
• Safety certifications a plus

Skills and Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented but capable of working independently
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Computer skills including MS Word & Excel
