Job summary

Suntex Marinas is hiring a Fork Lift Driver to support our St. Augustine shipyard operations. You will operate forklifts to move and stack materials, assist with vessel handling, and maintain safety on a fast paced marina site.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays. Prior marina or dockside experience is preferred; training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Must have highly effective communication skills and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places.
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance.
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to supervisor.

POSITIONPURPOSE:

TheForkliftDriverisresponsibleforcarryingoutoperationsforthemarina.The ForkliftDriver’sprimaryresponsibilityisthe customer andtheirvessels.Every taskat the marinafromcarefullyhandingthe customers boats,tocommunicatingeffectively with the employee working the docks. The Forklift Driver projects a professional company image through all types of interactions.As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work underpressure.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE:

WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
