Job summary

Suntex Marinas in Dania Beach, FL is seeking a Fork Lift Driver to support the Dry Storage department. You will operate the forklift to move materials and boats, assist with dock operations, and maintain a professional image while working in a fast-paced marina environment.

The role requires good communication, strong time management, and attention to detail. Candidates should have forklift experience, marina background preferred, and be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work weekends or holidays

Responsibilities

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantees safety by performing regular maintenance
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Maintains awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to supervisor

POSITIONPURPOSE:

TheForkliftDriverisresponsibleforcarryingoutoperationsforthemarina.The ForkliftDriver’sprimaryresponsibilityisthe customer andtheirvessels.Every taskat the marinafromcarefullyhandingthe customers boats,tocommunicatingeffectively with the employee working the docks. The Forklift Driver projects a professional company image through all types of interactions.As this is a fast-paced environment, must be able to work underpressure.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE:

WORKINGCONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Mustbeabletoindependently lift,carry, push,andpulluptothirty(30)pounds
• Mustbeable toswimorbewilling towearapersonal flotationdeviceininstancesof emergency
• Mustbeabletoperformsimplegrasping,finemanipulation,andrepetitivehand&armmovementsfrequently,and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally
