Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking a skilled machinist to operate the Forge Robotic Cell, including the Induction Heater/Table, Upsetter and Forge Press. You will adjust programs, change tools, and inspect parts for dimensional accuracy.

Work requires reading blueprints, setting up machines, and using precision gauges to verify tolerances. The role demands good communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols in a noisy industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read blueprints and orders.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Computer literacy to record information.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and blue print specifications to determine what program needs to be run.
• Review material requirements and determine machine adjustments.
• Set up machines with provided program and adjust as needed.
• Manually maneuver Robots when necessary.
• Ability to multi-task several operations.
• Measure parts to ensure dimensional accuracy with gauges and micrometers.
• Follow written and oral work instructions.
• Work well with supervision and co-workers.
• Other duties may be assigned.
