Responsibilities

• Operate forging presses to shape metal (hot forging operations).
• Position and adjust dies on forging machinery using overhead cranes and hand tools.
• Monitor equipment and correct minor problems.
• Assist Set-Up Technician in die changes.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Keep assigned work area neat and orderly.
• Adhere to all safety rules.
• Work overtime as requested by supervisor.
• Operate furnaces to heat metal prior to forging.
• Load/unload furnace with conveyor.
• Handle heated or cooled metal pieces into dies.
