Responsibilities

• Operate presses or forging machines to perform hot or cold forging by flattening, shaping, and forming metal.
• Position and adjust dies on forging machinery using overhead cranes and hand tools.
• Monitor equipment operation and correct minor problems.
• May assist Set-Up Technician in die changeovers.
• Maintain time and production records.
• Keep assigned work area neat and orderly.
• Comply with all safety rules.
• Work overtime as scheduled by supervisor.
• Operate furnaces to heat metal prior to forging and load/unload via conveyor.
