Qualifications

• Working knowledge of press operations and forging equipment.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing.
• Excellent hand/eye coordination, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Installs dies on press die sets and positions fixtures.
• Aligns metal parts between dies or against fixtures on press.
• Operates controls to bring dies together.
• Measures and records dimensions per customer specs.
• Identifies maintenance needs and reports.
• Communicates with Die department on windage and stock needs.
• Prepares lubricants in tank and performs maintenance checks.
• Monitors furnace temperatures for metal forging.
• Completes quality documents and tags.
• Maintains workplace safety and housekeeping.
• Reads safety rules and operating instructions.
• Writes routine reports and correspondence.
• Uses basic math for measurements and graphs.
• Follows written, oral, or diagram instructions.
