Alliance for the Bay seeks a Forests Projects Coordinator to support reforestation, restoration, and outreach across the Forests Program. The role requires coordinating field planting, training volunteers, and engaging landowners while assisting with grant proposals and budgets.

You will work in a fast-paced office and field environment with opportunities to grow the program and shape future projects, reporting to the Forests Program Manager. Based near Lancaster, PA with flexible work options.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in forestry, wildlife biology, natural resources management, biology, environmental science, or a relevant field. A Master’s degree may substitute 1 year of experience.
• 2+ years relevant professional experience related to this position.
• Experience in project coordination and administration.
• Technical knowledge of tree ecology, species identification, forest health assessment, and reforestation practices.
• Ability to work outside, in harsh conditions and long days, with 50 lb lifting capacity.
• Strong communications skills, both within a team and with external audiences.
• Excellent time management and prioritization abilities.
• Problem-solving and objective decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate tree planting projects in the field, including landowner contact, plan writing, planting, maintenance, monitoring, and administration.
• Coordinate project implementation with contractors and assist throughout contracting.
• Coordinate and train volunteers, including directing seasonal staff and interns.
• Assist in pursuing funding through grants and programmatic funding efforts.
• Assist with grant budgets, reporting, payments, invoices, procurement, reimbursements, and contracting.
• Participate in outreach efforts, presentations, and events.
• Engage in workgroups, collaboratives, and partnerships with conservation organizations.
• Contribute to strategic planning and Forests Program team efforts; support external communications and partnerships.
