The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service, invites applications for a Government Operations Consultant I. The role focuses on program planning, analysis, and disaster response across state forests. You will coordinate staff, evaluate programs, and support outdoor recreation and resource protection initiatives.

Occasional to moderate travel is required. Applicants must meet minimum education/experience requirements; background screening and fingerprinting

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience in systems/management analysis or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of related experience; or master's degree substituting for one year of experience.
• Requires valid driver's license and ability to travel for emergencies and field work.

Responsabilités

• Develops and implements outdoor recreation programs for state lands.
• Assists in planning, development, and administration of forest resources programs.
• Coordinate public participation, workshops, and liaison with forest user groups.
• Oversee evaluation, maintenance, and improvements of recreation facilities and trails.
• Perform other duties including revenue handling as assigned.
