The Forestry Resource Administrator supervises staff and manages forest resources for the Waccasassa Forestry Center in Florida, overseeing seven state forests. The incumbent reports to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service, and may respond to emergencies and natural disasters.

Key qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 7 years professional/administrative/supervisory forestry experience; or bachelor's degree in forestry or related field plus 3 years experience; or master's degre
• Valid Class E driver license required
• Ability to communicate with and direct subordinates, manage budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with policies
• Expertise in forest management planning, prescribed fire management, and timber operations
• Occasional to moderate travel required; may respond to emergencies including natural disasters
