Job summary

Central Oregon Community College is offering a Natural Resources Student Intern position to support forestry faculty in Bend. The role includes preparing course materials, cleaning and maintaining lab equipment, and organizing forestry supplies.

The intern will assist with instructional setups, ensure safety practices, and handle varied tasks as needed. Coursework toward an associate’s degree in forestry or natural resources is preferred, with flexibility for the 2026-27 academic year.

Qualifications

  • Ability to manage conflicts within and/or between groups and to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Ability to remain flexible and do different tasks on a daily basis.
  • Ability to provide consistent and dependable customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare material for courses as directed by Program Director, Administrative Assistant, or Faculty.
  • Assist in equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of forestry lab equipment and lab spaces.
  • Support safe and proper forestry practices.
  • Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for instructional purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
