Job summary

The Gatrans forester will coordinate vegetation management and right‑of‑way encroachment activities across a designated Georgia region, aligning efforts with TVMP standards and NERC needs. Field visits, stakeholder responses, and collaboration with external customers and internal teams are essential.

Responsibilities include inspecting R/Ws, resolving abnormal vegetation or encroachment issues, and supervising contractors to ensure productivity and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in forestry required;4-year degree preferred in forestry, real estate, or related field.
• 0–2 years in utility vegetation management or 2+ years; 5+ years also listed as options.
• GA Driver's License required; certifications such as ISA Arborist and TRAQ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate vegetation management and right-of-way encroachment tasks in the assigned area.
• Respond to stakeholder encroachment requests and perform field site visits.
• Work with external customers and internal teams to authorize R/W usages.
• Inspect right-of-way vegetation and non-permissible encroachments in aerial/ground surveys.
• Investigate issues and provide resolutions for vegetation or encroachment problems.
• Manage contractors, monitoring productivity and quality of work.
