Job summary

PRT Growing Services Ltd. in Camden, AL is seeking a Nursery Specialist to manage and produce millions of seedlings across seasons.

You will work with a Nursery Supervisor, report to the Nursery Manager, and split time between bareroot and container seedling programs, with spring field prep and planting, summer growth, and fall/winter harvest. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in horticulture, agriculture, or forestry or equivalent
• Working knowledge of pine seedling nursery operations, equipment, irrigation, soil fertility, and pesticides
• Strong team leadership and people management experience
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook with strong communication
• Customer-driven with a strong work ethic and safety focus

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift, farm tractors, seedling lifter and other nursery equipment
• Operate spray-rigs and fertilizer injection equipment safely and effectively
• Assist with daily tasks to maintain equipment, buildings and seedling crops

Skills
