Job summary

Snohomish Conservation District seeks a Forest Resource Planner to deliver forestry and agroforestry planning services to landowners in Snohomish County and Camano Island. The role collaborates with staff to protect and restore natural resources and requires managing multiple projects with partners.

The position is part of the Habitat, Floodplains, and Forests Division, and includes regular 40-hour weeks with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or natural resource/environmental field with related coursework.
  • Minimum of three years of professional-level forestry or agroforestry experience.
  • Familiarity with NRCS conservation practices and landowner programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance to forest landowners, including site visits and planning.
  • Prepare forest stewardship plans for NIPF landowners and present data.
  • Lead forestry and agroforestry projects and coordinate with partners.
