Job summary

Snohomish Conservation District is seeking a Forest Resource Planner to deliver forestry and agroforestry planning services to landowners in Snohomish County and Camano Island. You will work with partners and staff to protect and restore natural resources, manage multiple projects, and lead outreach initiatives.

The role requires field visits, collaboration with program managers, and occasional evening or weekend work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or related natural-resource field.
• Minimum of three years professional forestry experience.
• Knowledge of forest health, soils, and agroforestry principles.
• Ability to communicate with landowners and partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to forest landowners including site visits and maps.
• Prepare forest stewardship plans and data inventories.
• Assist with wildfire risk reduction and defensible space planning.
• Support landowners with cost-share applications and program administration.
• Lead forestry and agroforestry practices on Snohomish County lands.
• Manage grants and coordinate with funders and partners.
• Engage with community outreach and education events.
