Job summary

AllSearch Professional Staffing seeks a Department Manager in Building Products for Conroe, TX. Lead a sales/trading/product team, drive growth, manage budgets, and build strong supplier/customer relationships. Includes relocation support, annual bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

Base salary ranges 100k–130k with performance incentives. Responsibilities include strategic development, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in forest

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within forest products, lumber, building materials, wood products, wholesale distribution, or related forest products industry.
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience leading sales, trading, product management, purchasing, or commercial teams.
• Experience buying and/or selling commodity lumber, plywood, OSB, panels, engineered wood products, or related forest products.
• Experience managing customer relationships, supplier partnerships, and revenue growth.
• Strong business acumen with ability to analyze market trends, pricing, forecasting, and financial performance.
• Proven success developing business, growing accounts, and implementing strategic initiatives.
• Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales, trading, and product professionals.
• Drive sales growth and profitability within the forest products division.
• Develop and execute business development and market growth strategies.
• Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, mills, distributors, and industry partners.
• Maintain a portfolio of strategic customer accounts.
• Analyze market trends, commodity pricing, and business performance to identify growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support company objectives and department success.
