Job summary

Silvaseed is seeking multiple Forest Nursery Operations Associate and Specialist roles to support growing, packing, and distribution of container and bare root seedlings. The positions involve teamwork, adherence to nursery practices, and potential advancement toward senior roles.

Overtime is possible with a base salary range in Washington state. Benefits include competitive compensation, health coverage options, retirement plans, relocation support, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years relevant work experience or AS/BS in forestry/agriculture/horticulture.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to coordinate with multiple staff.
• Willingness to learn and follow regulatory guidance and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Produce quality forest seedling crops following nursery practices and crew instructions.
• Coordinate activities with other staff; assist, train nursery workers as needed.
• Mix fertilizers and monitor EC readings; record block weights for fertigation decisions.
• Take daily block weights; scout for pests and diseases; monitor crop growth and audits.
• Maintain records; manage inventory and reporting for timely delivery schedules.
• Operate forklifts safely; work at height; follow IPM program and pesticide training.
