Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• NWCG qualified as: Single Resource Boss (any) and Incident Commander Type 5.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and GPS.
• Experience with Fire Effects and Fire Fuel Reduction; Smoke Management; Regulatory Education; Fire Regulatory and Enforcement; Fire Prevention Programs; Fire Suppression; Silvicultural techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead River City Fuels Crew as supervisor (22-person crew) with duties tracking safety and output against deadlines.
• Perform on-ground leadership during field operations and initial attack wildfire suppression.
• Coordinate with foresters and project managers to ensure prescriptions are followed.
• Represent the Arcadia District in interagency collaboration and public outreach.
