Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA is seeking a Registered Nurse for night shifts on the Medical/Surgical unit. You will provide direct patient care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians to monitor changes in condition.

Qualified candidates hold a Georgia RN license with BLS; ACLS preferred and should be obtained within 30 days of hire. Previous acute care and ventilator management experience are a plus, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license to practice in Georgia.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification preferred and to be obtained within 30 days if not current.
• Prior acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Be directly responsible and accountable for care given to assigned patients.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition including monitoring results and symptoms.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and response to treatment.
