Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Supervisory Forensics professional to oversee non-exempt and exempt staff in the Forensics Unit of the Police Department. You will supervise fingerprinting, lab analysis, and firearm/toolmark examination, ensure accurate evidentiary reporting, and guide teams to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in forensic science or related field and at least six years' experience in crime scene investigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, or Natural Sciences, or related discipline.
• Six years of experience in crime scene investigation and analysis.
• Background check and drug test required.
• No felony or certain convictions may disqualify the applicant.

Responsibilities

• Supervise forensic staff in fingerprinting, lab analysis, and firearm/toolmark examination.
• Coordinate plans, goals and standards; ensure quality and timely reporting.
