Job summary

Degenkolb Engineers is seeking a Forensics Associate to lead damage assessment, repair design, and reconstruction projects across California, developing construction documents and evaluating existing conditions for insured repair work.

The ideal candidate is a licensed professional engineer with California licensure, strong client-relations skills, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across structural, architectural and MEP components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering emphasis.
  • California Civil Engineering license or PE license is required.
  • 10+ years relevant experience with a stable job history.
  • Experience building durable client relationships in the Forensics market.
  • Experience generating and managing construction documents for damage repair.

Responsibilities

  • Lead damage assessment, repair design, and reconstruction projects across California.
  • Develop jurisdictionally compliant construction documents and evaluate existing conditions.
  • Support insurance-funded repair projects within the Forensics Practice Area.
  • Coordinate with contractors, owners, and project teams across structural, architectural and MEP components.
