Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery is seeking an on-site counselor/clinician to work Sunday to Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM in Aurora, CO. The role includes behavioral health screening, brief interventions, crisis work, and coordination with jail and community providers.

A Bachelor's CAC II is required; a Master's/CAC III or LAC is preferred with licensure eligibility. Language skills are valued; a $3,000 annual bilingual differential may apply and compensation ranges from $21.46 to $32.19 per

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or CAC II.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree and/or CAC III or LAC; License eligible at Masters level in a Mental Health discipline and/or licensed as a LAC.
  • Strong interest in working in Mental Health arena.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Effective organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred: Bilingual.

Responsibilities

  • Perform behavioral health and substance use screening.
  • Perform brief mental health and substance use interventions.
  • Assist Inmates with transitional resources.
  • Facilitate referrals to behavioral health providers at discharge from jail.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between jail, mental health center, and community providers.
  • Enter data into JBBS database.
  • Provide case management as needed; instruct clients in daily living skills.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy.
  • Accurately document interactions in EMR promptly.
  • Attend criminal justice, medical, and other appointments with clients as needed.
  • Staff members will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the client's care team.

Job description

This position is fully Onsite/In-person. The schedule is Sunday - Wednesday; 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Salary for this role.

The starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly.

  • $21.46 - $32.19 per hour
Bilingual Language Differential Pay.

Employees who successfully pass a language assessment are eligible to receive bilingual differential pay. This differential is provided as a fixed amount of $3,000 per calendar year, paid on a bi‑weekly basis across 26 pay periods, and prorated based on hire date and full‑time equivalency (FTE). Eligibility and payment are subject to the language requirements of the position and the employee’s demonstrated proficiency in the language.

Required Vaccination And TB Test.
