Overview

Forensic Toxicology Laboratory Processing Technician I - Lenexa, KS - Tuesday - Saturday 5:00AM-1:30PM

This position reports to the Supervisor, Forensic Processing, and is responsible for routine daily sample processing in the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department. The individual manages specimen receipt, sorting, data entry, and overall work within the department.

Pay Range: $17.20+ per hour

Salary offers depend on relevant skills, training, experience, education, certifications, and organizational factors. Successful candidates may be eligible for annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Understanding the QTN Lab Information System
  2. Sorting specimens by source and work list
  3. Data entry using Maxilog
  4. Following strict forensic practices
  5. Processing urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing
  6. Adhering to company policies and procedures
  7. Scanning custody and control forms
  8. Discarding negative specimens
  9. Performing routine urine specimen analyses at 70 CCFs/hour
  10. Performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred: Laboratory experience

Physical and Mental Requirements: Ability to sit/stand for long periods
