The State of South Carolina, Office of Mental Health within the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities in Columbia, is seeking an Activity Therapist I to provide a comprehensive Recreational Therapy program for adults with mental illness.

Under supervision, you will develop goal-oriented groups, complete assessments and progress notes, support treatment planning, and assist with interns and staff while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation or related field as required.
• Knowledge of behavior/level of functioning of adult patients.
• Ability to work cooperatively with psychiatric patients and professionals.

Mansioni

• Develop and coordinate goal-oriented groups and leisure activities for adult patients.
• Complete individual Activity Therapy Assessments and weekly progress notes.
• Attend Treatment Team meetings and document treatment goals and plans.
• Plan and evaluate evening, weekend, and holiday activities and events.
• Maintain safety checks and comply with Infection Control and regulatory standards.
