Job summary

Defense Health Agency seeks a board-certified Radiologist to lead imaging services for the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System (AFMES) at Dover AFB. You will supervise forensic radiology workflows, interpret PMCT and other modalities, and provide expert consultation for medicolegal investigations.

Requirements include an MD/DO, full medical license, and extensive experience in diagnostic radiology with a focus on forensics.

Qualifications

• Eligibility: Open to US Citizens.
• MD/DO or equivalent degree from an accredited medical school.
• Current, active medical license in any state/territory.
• Residency in Diagnostic Radiology with at least 4 years of total approved training.

Responsibilities

• Provide radiology interpretations for AFMES, DHA, and the DoD.
• Oversee radiology service protocols and quality control.
• Interpret PMCT, fluoroscopy, and plain-film radiographs in autopsy workflow.
• Collaborate with AFMLS DNA Identification Laboratory and pathologists for radiographic comparisons.
• Present findings in legal proceedings and ensure timely, defensible radiology reports.
