Aspire Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities Services in Albany, GA seeks a Forensic Peer Specialist to provide recovery-oriented peer support within the Assisted Outpatient Treatment program. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) credential preferred or required as applicable to program and grant requirements.
• Forensic peer support training or demonstrated experience with justice-related systems preferred.
• Lived experience relevant to recovery from mental illness and behavioral health involvement required.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented peer support to individuals in Aspire BHDD's AOT program.
• Use lived experience to build authentic peer relationships and promote hope and recovery.
• Engage participants who may be reluctant and help connect them with the AOT team.
• Help participants navigate behavioral health and civil court systems from a peer perspective.
• Document contacts and progress, maintain confidentiality, and support recovery goals.
