Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Forensic Nurse Examiner to provide and direct nursing care for sexual abuse/assault and child abuse patients. The role supports the FNE Program management and collaborates with the healthcare team to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include leading education for patients, families, staff, and the community, and contributing to program development and nurse orientation, while ensuring high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• RN license and active practice required.
• BCLS and PALS certifications required.
• CA-CP SANE currency of practice certification due within 6 months.
• SANE-A and SANE-P certifications encouraged.
• CFN certification encouraged.
• TNCC and ENPC certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct nursing care to sexual abuse/assault and child abuse patients.
• Plan and document comprehensive care in collaboration with the care team.
• Lead education for patients, families, staff and the community.
• Assist in program management and orientation of SANEs.
