The Forensic Nurse Examiner provides forensic physical assessment and evidence collection to patients who are victimized by sexual assault (13 years and older), and interpersonal violence for all ages. This includes injury and photo documentation, crisis intervention and prophylactic medications with referrals as appropriate. The F.N.E. is expected to provide fact testimony for judicial proceedings. The F.N.E. must meet annual criteria to maintain certification (200 hours, 3 exams, 8 hours continuing education), as well as annual OSHA, PPD and Mercy mandatory requirements.

Compensation decisions are made in alignment with internal equity, role scope, and market data to ensure fair and consistent pay practices. Most new hires are typically placed within the lower to mid-portion of the range; offers above that level are reserved for candidates with advanced or highly specialized qualifications.
