University of Maryland Medical System in Largo, MD is seeking a Forensic Nurse Examiner Apprentice who will work under the Forensic Nurse Examiner Manager to deliver comprehensive care to patients affected by sexual assault and related traumas.
The role requires current Maryland RN licensure, completion of MBON FNE 40-hour training within 60 days, and participation in on-call responsibilities; prior RN experience is valued. This is a pathway program with potential for advanced certification.

Forensic Nurse Examiner Apprentice is specially trained and certified by the Maryland Board of Nursing to provide comprehensive care to adults, adolescents and children who have been impacted by sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child abuse, human trafficking and non-intentional trauma. The Apprentice works under the general direction of the Forensic Nurse Examiner Manager.
