Job summary

ARCCA, LLC, a national forensic, scientific, and engineering firm, seeks a Forensic Mechanical Engineer – Failure Analysis & Accident Reconstruction in Seattle, WA. The role involves inspections using advanced 3D scanning, failure analysis, and presenting findings to clients and at conferences.

Requirements include a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering (Bachelor’s considered) and PE licensure; EI/EIT will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Bachelor's considered.
  • PE licensure in one or more states is required; EI/EIT considered.
  • Willingness to work in the litigation setting and evaluate cases, design test fixtures, and assess hardware.
  • Prior testifying experience is preferred but not required; strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle, site, and evidence inspections using 3D scanning technology; conduct testing and collect data.
  • Investigate equipment failures and analyze failure causes.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients and technical conferences.
  • Prepare technical reports and provide expert testimony as required.
  • Pursue continuing education to enhance technical knowledge and credibility.
