Job summary

Washington State Patrol’s Information Technology Division supports the Forensics Laboratory Services Bureau, ensuring critical systems run daily to support approximately 20,000 cases/year. The role maintains data integrity, provides end-user support, and collaborates with vendors to resolve issues.

The position requires strong SQL skills, database and system administration experience, and adherence to CJIS security policies. Hybrid work may be possible after training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a STEM field with 4 years of IT experience OR an associate degree with 6 years of IT experience OR 8 years of IT experience.
• Three years of database, application or system administration with 1 year SQL experience.
• Two years of experience troubleshooting, problem solving, and supporting IT systems throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily system operation and uptime.
• Monitor data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
• Serve as primary contact for system issues and liaise with vendors.
