Job summary

State of Missouri's Northwest Missouri Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center in St. Joseph seeks a psychiatrist to provide psychiatric and medical care to adult patients in a forensic inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medicine and psychiatry principles and current mental health treatment.
• Ability to provide court testimony regarding patients’ psychological condition.
• Experience diagnosing and treating adult mental health disorders is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical care to adult inpatients.
• Conduct medical and psychiatric assessments and DSM-5 diagnoses.
• Plan, prescribe, and coordinate pharmacological treatment with the care team.
