Qualifications

• One year of satisfactory full-time experience in criminalistics, forensic science or analytic chemistry.
• Two years total experience for higher assignments.
• Progression through Assignment Levels II–IV requires additional qualifying experience.

Responsibilities

• Reviews decedent's genetic test results and impact on surviving family.
• Explains advantages/disadvantages of genetic testing for families.
• Obtains informed consent for OCME testing.
• Writes genetic counseling reports.
• Guides medical examiners on testing results interpretation.
• Creates educational materials and lectures related to genetics.
• Writes manuscripts and posters for medical literature.
