Job summary

USAO Asset Forfeiture Section seeks a Litigation Financial Analyst to support the United States Attorney's Office mission by tracing and analyzing financial records to locate criminal proceeds and aid forfeiture actions.

You will assist prosecutors with developing for forfeiture theories and preparing exhibits, charts, and financial abstracts, while collaborating with a team under high-pressure conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Three years accounting, finance, or other related experience.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills; oral and written.
• Intermediate experience with the Microsoft Office suite; advanced skills preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Assists the legal team by tracing, reviewing, and analyzing financial records to determine source and delivery of funds, and the nature and volume of transactions.
• Assists prosecutors in preparing for court proceedings by developing legal theories for forfeiture and preparing exhibits, charts, and abstracts of financial evidence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
