Job summary

TYG is partnering with leading AEC firms across the U.S. to scale engineering teams for ongoing projects. We are seeking talented Engineers to join a multidisciplinary group and deliver forensic investigations, analyses, and documentation.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license with a civil/structural/mechanical focus, a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), and at least 5 years of engineering experience. Travel for site inspections and meetings will be required.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of engineering experience; forensic or inspection experience is a strong advantage.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction practices, and failure mechanisms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present technical information clearly.
• Ability to travel for site inspections and case meetings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site investigations to assess structural damage, material failures, construction defects, and building performance issues.
• Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and modeling to determine causation and contributing factors.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports, opinions, and presentations suitable for legal and insurance audiences.
• Provide expert testimony in depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys, claims professionals, contractors, and design teams to support case strategy and resolution.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure all findings meet industry and professional standards.
