Principal Consultant - Building Diagnostics & Structural Engineering

Title: Senior Forensic Engineer

Location: California, Washington, Texas, Colorado, other states available

Salary: $130,000 - $200,000 (depending on location and level of experience)

We’re seeking a Senior Forensic Engineer to join a national A&E firm, growing their forensic service line. Our client specializes in forensic engineering, addressing construction defects and assessing storm damages. Given their growing client base, they are seeking to continue their expansion across several states.

Responsibilities
  • Perform detailed structural assessments to ensure design compliance on a range of projects.
  • Oversee and manage 5–10 active cases, investigating and analyzing damage and design flaws to determine root causes.
  • Clearly convey technical findings to clients, legal teams, and other stakeholders, tailoring communication to suit diverse audiences.
  • Deliver thorough and defensible reports with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering
  • 5–10 years of structural engineering experience.
  • A current Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license (multi-state licensure is a plus).
