Job Title: Forensic Engineer

Are you an Engineer seeking access to a variety of forensic investigation projects, professional development, and a network of 300 Professional Engineers?

We have the job for you! We are currently looking for a full-time Civil Engineer in the Denver, CO area, with a Professional Engineer license, to join our team. We also offer a competitive relocation reimbursement plan for the right candidate.

The Civil Structural Engineers travel within their assigned region to perform on-site investigations and deliver written reports of findings and conclusions. They ensure investigations conform to our quality standards by following the scientific method. Base pay ranges from $85,000 to $100,000, with additional supplemental income.

As a Forensic Engineer, you will travel within your assigned region for on-site investigations and reporting. You will ensure investigations meet our quality standards by adhering to the scientific method.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide expert testimony on assigned work with unbiased conclusions
  • Write detailed technical reports on completed projects
  • Communicate proactively and document interactions with clients
  • Provide expert testimony and depositions as needed
  • Work additional hours during peak demand periods
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients
  • Engage in ongoing training, mentoring, and certification pursuits (cost covered by the company)
  • Travel up to 50% for work outside of your home region, including daily and overnight travel
Qualifications:
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Engineer in Training license in the applicable state
  • Active NCEES record or eligibility to obtain within six months
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field
  • Two to three years of experience in failure analysis, construction, or related fields (highly preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Strong technical writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Calendar)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Reliable high-speed internet and cellular reception at home
  • Meet all pre-employment physical requirements
Related Experience:

Civil Engineer, Design Engineer, Structural Engineer, Construction Management, Residential Construction, Residential Design.

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand for prolonged periods
  • Lift/move objects weighing 50-100 lbs.
