Thornton Tomasetti, a global engineering firm, seeks an Elevator & Vertical Transportation expert in its Forensics Practice in New York. The role blends leadership, client advisory, and technical excellence to shape major forensic projects and growth strategy.

You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, serve as trusted client partner, and contribute to business development and strategy across offices. This is a high-impact leadership position for a seasoned VT professional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10–15+ years of progressive experience in elevator and vertical transportation engineering, repairs, consulting, or investigation.
• Recognized expertise and thought leadership in forensic engineering and vertical transportation.
• Ability to write reports that clearly express technical opinions and conclusions and support these conclusions with facts and sound technical principles.
• Ability to travel to work sites and lead a team of junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor engineers across the firm.
• Serve as expert witness in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Drive business development by leading proposals and expanding firm influence.
• Shape firm strategy through thought leadership and advisory to senior leadership.
