Job summary

Gfoat is seeking a Crime Scene Technician in Georgetown, TX to locate, label, collect and preserve physical evidence at crime scenes, traffic fatalities and search warrants. The role requires on-call responses, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The incumbent will process scenes for latent prints, testify in court as an expert, and assist with investigations while maintaining detailed chain of custody and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check, oral board, polygraph and psych eval required.
• Background in forensic science/criminal justice coursework preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Process scenes for latent prints and collect evidence with chain of custody.
• Photograph crime scenes and fatalities.
• Process evidence using chemical methods and Alternate Light Sources.
• Analyze latent prints and compare to suspects for identification.
• Testify in criminal courts as an expert witness.
