Job summary

State of Connecticut - DMHAS Capitol Region Mental Health is seeking a professional to oversee forensic supervision and treatment planning for Acquittees under PSRB on Transitional Leave in the Hartford area.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a mental health field and at least three years of relevant experience, with strong collaboration across treatment teams and documentation in electronic health records.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a mental health or related health care discipline.
  • Three years of experience providing assessment, treatment planning, and direct treatment services to persons with severe and prolonged psychiatric disabilities.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (preferred).
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams and coordinate with clinical and residential service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to Acquittees under the auspices of the PSRB on Transitional Leave from Whiting Forensic Hospital, including weekly meetings.
  • Review conditions of Memorandum Of Decision.
  • Maintain regular contact with service providers and residential providers.
  • Attend PSRB hearings and prepare required reports for PSRB and court.
