The Illinois Department of Human Services is hiring a Clinical Psychologist for the Alton Mental Health Center in Alton, Illinois. The role requires administering psychological assessments and providing treatment recommendations for complex cases within a unionized setting.

Responsibilities include psychotherapy, reporting, and collaboration with treatment teams. Licensure as a Clinical Psychologist (IL) and ability to travel are required; work hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Formación

• Requires current license as a Clinical Psychologist by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Ability to work within multiple interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to travel in the performance of job duties.

Responsabilidades

• Performs psychological assessments to address specific questions on an assigned unit.
• Develops and implements behavior management plans to aid skill acquisition.
• Assesses dual diagnosis patients for intellect/adaptive functioning and prepares reports.
• Conducts group and individual psychotherapy and documents in the clinical record.
• Testifies in criminal and mental health court hearings; travels as needed.
• Provides facility‑wide professional trainings.
• Participates in treatment planning conferences and makes recommendations based on clinical expertise.
