• Board Certification in Psychiatry required.
• At least three years of substantive medical administrative experience directing and evaluating a medical/clinical program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Medical Director for the Alton Mental Health Center.
• Act as full-line supervisor of medical staff.
• Plan, administer and evaluate policies, directives, and recruitment of medical personnel.
• Recruit and coordinate external medical vendors for specialized services.
• Participate in executive policy formation for the hospital.
• Review forensic and civil patient paperwork and medical reports.
• Prescribe and direct administration of psycho-tropic medicines.
• Ensure patient safety at the work site.
