S-E-A is a forensic engineering firm with over 50 years of experience serving as a neutral, third party subject expert. We analyze failures to determine the why behind failures and provide remediation recommendations.

The firm seeks candidates with civil/structural engineering background for roles across office locations. Travel is expected; strong writing and communication skills are essential for documenting findings and presenting to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master's degree a plus.
• Three to five years of civil/structural experience.
• P.E. (Professional Engineer) registration required or ability to obtain within six months.
• Must possess strong writing skills.
• Public speaking experience a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and analyze failures in residential, commercial and industrial properties.
• Determine cause, origin and extent of structural failures and building system failures.
• Perform site evaluations, vibration analysis, and accident evaluations as needed.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting causes of failure and remediation recommendations.
• Support conclusions with expert testimony in legal proceedings.
• Maintain professional knowledge through workshops and publications.
