S-E-A is a forensic engineering firm with over 50 years of experience serving as a neutral, third party subject expert, analyzing technical failures. We seek a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to conduct field investigations and determine the causes of failures across residential, commercial, and industrial properties.

Responsibilities include preparing clear reports, supporting expert testimony, and developing client relationships while maintaining high professional standards and staying

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master's degree a plus.
• Seven years of post-academic civil/structural experience.
• P.E. registration required through testing in Missouri, or ability to obtain Missouri P.E. within 6 months.
• Must possess strong writing skills.
• Public speaking experience a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field investigations and analyze failures involving structures across residential, commercial and industrial properties.
• Determine the cause, origin, and extent of structural failures, water intrusions, construction defects and building system failures.
• Perform foundation settlement investigations, structural assessments, site evaluations and related analyses.
• Analyze failures in buildings and infrastructure by site visits and engineering principles.
• Support retention and development of client relations and prepare reports in layman's terms.
• Deliver professional presentations and assist with expert testimony when required.
