You will evaluate relationships between forces, human movement and claimed injuries across accident reconstruction, occupant kinematics, and biomechanical analysis, while mentoring staff and contributing to technical excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related to Biomechanics.
  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Biomechanics or related discipline.
  • Proven experience in injury causation analysis.
  • Prior deposition or trial testimony experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead biomechanics and injury causation investigations across a range of complex matters.
  • Perform analyses involving occupant kinematics, forces, accelerations, and injury mechanisms.
  • Evaluate consistency between claimed injuries and applied forces.
  • Integrate crash or event data from accident reconstruction experts into biomechanical assessments.
  • Review medical records, imaging, and relevant scientific literature.
  • Prepare technically robust biomechanical reports suitable for litigation.
  • Provide deposition and trial testimony as an expert witness.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary forensic teams, including accident reconstruction specialists.
  • Mentor developing biomechanics staff and contribute to technical excellence across the region.

I’m currently supporting a specialist forensic consulting firm in the search for an experienced Biomechanics Expert to lead complex injury causation and human response analyses within a defined geographic region.

This opportunity is suited to an experienced biomechanics professional seeking a senior, technically focused role combining injury causation analysis, expert testimony, multidisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring.

The successful individual will serve as a lead forensic expert, evaluating the relationship between forces, human movement, and claimed injuries across complex matters involving accident reconstruction, occupant kinematics, and biomechanical analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead biomechanics and injury causation investigations across a range of complex matters

Required Background

Preferred Experience
  • Publications or research within biomechanics or related fields
  • Experience working with medical and legal professionals
  • Prior mentoring or leadership experience
  • Background in forensic consulting, litigation support, or related technical environments
  • Experience interfacing with attorneys, insurers, or expert witness environments
