Job summary

Health Network Laboratories, LLC in Allentown is seeking a Forensic Pathology Assistant to support autopsy workflows under the supervision of the attending forensic pathologist. The role will involve preparing autopsy suites, assisting with dissections and evisceration, and coordinating specimen handling and documentation.

You will collect specimens and digital photographs, facilitate communication with the Coroner’s Office and laboratory staff, and assist in teaching residents and students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years in a clinical environment with data handling experience.
• An AS degree or equivalent demonstration of education and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare autopsy suite for postmortem examinations and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist pathologist with dissections and evisceration during autopsies.
• Collect specimens, evidence, and digital photographs under direction.
• Coordinate with Coroner’s Office, investigative agencies and lab staff as required.
• Review autopsy authorizations and prepare/distribute autopsy reports; assist teaching.
