At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

EY’s Government Contract Services (GCS) team helps businesses that work with U.S. state and federal government entities understand and meet contract and program requirements. We also help clients make informed operational decisions that support compliance and strengthen their competitive position.

The opportunity

Our GCS team works with industry-leading clients to address complex compliance risks and identify meaningful market opportunities. With exposure to a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, you will take on a variety of challenging and impactful work that helps build both your technical expertise and business acumen.

Your Key Responsibilities

It’s no exaggeration to say no two projects will be alike. You’re likely to balance your time between engagement planning with other GCS members, actively analyzing complex data, and participating in GCS practice development. It’s all about using your technical skills to creatively assess and resolve our clients’ needs from the front lines. That means thinking critically about the value we can bring to our clients, taking initiative to research regulatory information and industry insights, and speaking up with innovative ideas that challenge the status quo.

Skills And Attributes For Success
  • Take responsibility for high-quality execution and delivery of specific parts of a client engagement
  • Develop yourself and others through seeking and offering on-the-job coaching
  • Support multiple projects while ensuring the work meets the client’s needs
  • Use technology to continually learn and share your knowledge with other team members
  • Nurture relationships with professionals in other service lines and seek opportunities to work together
  • Maintain a strong focus on the client and be responsive to their requests
To qualify for the role you must have
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • 1+ years of related working experience
  • Achieved, or be working towards a professional designation, such as CPA, CFA, CFE
  • Effective project and time management skills and the ability to prioritize when working on multiple engagements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of PC-based tools (e.g., MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel)
  • The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary
  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
Ideally, you’ll also have
  • Experience working with U.S. state or federal regulatory programs, preferably including FAR, CAS, Medicare, Medicaid, FSS, and/or DFARS
  • A working knowledge of agentic AI tools (e.g., MS Copilot)
What We Look For

We’re interested in people who have a passion for working in a team environment to solve problems, but we’re not just looking for strong technical skills. We’re interested in people who are able to nurture relationships—both internal and external—and are committed to intimately understanding our clients’ needs. If you’re looking to become part of a community of advisors where you’ll make a measurable difference across some of the most prestigious businesses around, this role is for you.

What We Offer You

At EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world‑class experiences. We’ll empower you in a flexible environment, and fuel you and your extraordinary talents in a diverse and inclusive culture of globally connected teams.

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $65,000 to $107,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $78,200 to $122,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
  • Join us in our team‑led and leader‑enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40‑60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
  • Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well‑being.
