Job summary

King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office in Seattle seeks a Forensic Accountant to join the Elder Abuse Multidisciplinary Team. The role involves assisting law enforcement and Adult Protective Services, preparing financial analyses, and testifying in court as needed.

Applicants must have at least three years in forensic accounting with fraud investigation experience and hold a CFE certification or be pursuing it. Strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and GAAP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of forensic accounting experience, with fraud investigations.
• CFE certification or candidate in process.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial investigation techniques.
• Proficient in Excel, ScanWriter, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with state and federal statutes related to financial crimes.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to testify.

Responsibilities

• Assist law enforcement and APS investigators in financial investigations.
• Review financial materials and direct the financial aspects of investigations.
• Prepare financial summaries, charts, diagrams, and exhibits for trial.
• Testify in court or other proceedings as needed.
• Conduct outreach and training to local law enforcement.
• Participate in Elder Abuse MDT meetings.
• Maintain organized case files and paperwork flow.
• Engage in PAO equity work and trainings.
