Job summary

Explico is seeking a skilled 3D Generalist to support our forensic investigations with high-quality visualizations. The role involves modeling, lighting, texturing, animation, and rendering, primarily in Blender, and requires collaboration with engineers to translate analyses into compelling visuals.

This is a hybrid position located in Detroit or Denver, with in-office days three or more per week to foster teamwork and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience and/or formal education in 3D computer graphics as a technical artist.
• Blender experience beyond asset creation; final scenes rendered in Blender.
• 3D animation experience, preferably mechanical (e.g., explainer on bicycle brakes).
• Environment creation with hard surface modeling; no kitbashing.
• Ability to take a project from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the 3D workflow from modeling to rendering.
• Collaborate with engineers to communicate analyses visually and effectively.
